Article 13: "Close Reading" a series of powerpoint slides from a GED test prep course

You can sign up for a free test prep course

Here is the link that I found when I enrolled in the course

It is a fairly routine discussion of "how to read closely" and the article gives tips about what makes "good practice for tests"...  You are encouraged to read these slides and then write to me with your summary of three points that you found helpful in the lecture.  In fact, some of these items will be familiar.  It is an introductory essay and I'm sure you will find some of the information easy...

To the Student:  Read this passage carefully....

To conclude, you might want to enroll in this course.  If so, you can go to www.GEDforFree.com

Here are some of the steps that I took when I enrolled in the course.

This is what I received:

Hi steve,

Congratulations! You can now begin class! You have been enrolled in your GED course. Also, you have been enrolled in another free course that you might want to consider. We have partnerships with non-profit colleges and universities who will work with GED students, and even give them credit for completing a free college-level course. These colleges recognize that most GED students are adult learners who want to return to school and succeed. So, they are offering a course that is completely free.

This course, however, is not easy. It is a true course that can count for college credit!

The two things you need to do to get college credit for this course are:
1. Complete the college-level course that you will see when you log into the GEDforFree site.
2. Review your GED course and pass your GED.

Thats all there is to it. By the way, the value of this course is more than $1200, but is no cost to you.

So, to begin your free GED and college-level courses, please go to this site: http://www.gedforfree.com/ged/login/index.php?username=visualandactive@gmail.com
